Grace for your spirit
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves. II Cor 4:7
Remember Jed Clampitt and the Beverly Hillbillies song? Jed was a poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed. Then one day as he was shooting for some food, up through the ground came the bubbling crude. When did Jed become a millionaire? Jed had always been a millionaire, he just didn’t know it. He was scraping by, while living on top of a fortune. The same is true of many spiritually. God has gifted us with His great treasures of righteousness, grace, Holy Spirit, and salvation. While we possess a fortune, we are scraping by on the scraps of religion. We have all His spiritual mineral rights. May the power of God that belongs to us enrich our lives.
