Grace for your spirit
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other You cannot serve God and wealth. Mt 6:24
How can we know which master we are serving? The answer is simple. Which master is telling us what to do, and directing us how to live? There is nothing evil about money and wealth, but the love of money is the root for all sorts of evil. The greatest evil comes when wealth becomes our master and we transfer our treasures in heaven to securities on earth. Many people have thought they could serve both masters, and ended up with neither. Let’s get off the fence and remember God’s promise. Seek Him first and all the other stuff will be added to us. Just reading it won’t do. We need to live it.
