Grace for your spirit
Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. Matt 5:23-24
Jesus made it clear that the connection between loving God, and loving our brother, is the basis for every law and commandment. When we rationalize that we can love God with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind, and then hate our brother, will never please God. God doesn’t want our empty devotion. He knows that if we don’t make every effort to reconcile with our brother, then it won’t be long until we won’t be coming to the altar at all. We may think that it would never happen to us, but we are wrong. Let’s make every effort to strengthen our relationship with both God and man.
